Based on the rate I had high expectations for both service and comfort. I was a bit shocked at the room prices ($332 with AAA discount) but decided to splurge. My husband and I live in San Diego county and booked a room for a quick weekend getaway.

The one nice thing about the room was the shower - spacious and well desinged. Needless to say, neither my husband or I slept very well. I've slept on better linens at $100/night hotels. They were like sandpaper - stiff and rough. That night, crawling into bed, I was further disappointed by the quality of the linens. For a room at this price point this just felt very stingy and irritated me, especially after the pricey early check-in request. What really bothered me was the sign in the bathroom telling me if I took the toiletries (less than 1/2 full bottles of L'Occtaine soap, lotion, etc.) that I would be charged $22+ per bottle.
